La Bottega del Vino

La Bottega del Vino was the cosiest little shop in Morcote, Switzerland.

In 2015, the owner told me she wanted some vinyl for the window, but she was unhappy with the logo to start with.

I went for something simple. The ideas were already there: the grapes, the leaves, maybe some connection to the letters.

The result evolved quite naturally:

I wish I had taken a better picture of the shop. Here’s hoping that Google Street View will offer again a way to go back in time.

I did plenty of vinyls in Morcote. The most important thing I learned is: don’t do colours for cut-out forms, they get lost in the background. Plain, solid, white is the most visible.
